Because they are just so excited about Christmas and the Richter Christmas Feast, Adebisi Shank have covered a Christmas Classic. You can listen to it below and download it exclusively on their bandcamp page. You can still purchase tickets for this one off event through bodytonic ticket office.

Our end of Year X-Mas Bash is coming around quick and we have quite a treat of a night lined up for you. A full seven band lineup with late night DJ’s to bring us to 3am. It is a tuesday night so I’d recommend taking wednesday off work

On the night we will have:

• Free exclusive Richter sampler CD to the first 50 that pre-order tickets.
• 50 pints of Beamish for first paying 50 through the door after 8pm  (either pre-paid or paying on the door)
• Free release from our back catalogue for first 200 people through the door
• Seven Live Bands
• Late night DJ’s

On the first of september I realise how busy August really was in the Richter world. We had Continuous Battle of Order & Marvins Revolt finish recording their new albums, Not Squares were rocking it up in Leeds & Reading (http://lnk.ms/0GxKX), Adebisi were hand picked to support Faith no More in the Olympia, we had the Vinny Club & Herv release their split 7″ at the second richter singles club and FINALLY we had the eagerly awaited BATS launch (now available for purchase here)

I remember when I was younger seeing that Kidd Blunt were playing dates around Europe and wondering how they managed to get out of Ireland, thinking they must have managment or an agent booking these shows for them.  More than most bands Kidd Blunt showed a lot of people that you could Do it Yourself as an Irish band, it made more of an impact on me than reading about other bands in far away scenes.

They inspired a lot of young people to form bands and become involved in music and I honestly would not have been part of this label or be in Adebisi Shank were it not for Kidd Blunt.

I am sad to see the band break up but am proud to be part of their last Dublin gig and release, this one is not to be missed!

The wonderful Cian Walker cut this amazing piece of art into the inlays for the 200 tapes given out at our first singles club last friday. It would be a sin not to see it in all its glory, If all the people that got a tape ever decide to meet up you can make this amazing artwork whole again

The first club night was a total blast, thanks to everyone for coming and making it a really special night. And special thanks to Craig Potterton, Cian Walker, Pete Fraiser & All the staff at twisted Pepper for making it such a great night.
